I’m not out of shape at all — I’m 6 percent body-fat. I have taken atro-phex for a week and saw results in the first 3 days.
I trust BSN a lot, and I think this is a good product because it has worked well with my body chemistry. It may differ from person to person so I can say it works well for me but maybe it won’t work well on other buyers and users.
In my opinion its worked better than the other weight-management/dietary supplements that I have taken, and I have taken Xyience, and Hydroxycut — the original and the hardcore.

Just started using Atro-Phex 3 days ago, right from the get go I noticed a difference in the Intensity of my workouts. Also, noticed the diuretic affect.
I’ve bought BSN products before and always had good experiences with them.

So I finished a bulk-up phase recently with 10% bf I’ve been on Atro for about a month and have had some amazing results.
Starting – 5 ‘10 168lbs. After one month 162, a loss of 6 lbs.
Of course some of the results came from HIT (high intensity training) and weight training, but I have lost about 6 pounds. Some of it water of course, but bodyfat is now 7%(caliper measurements).
I’ve had great results so far, though I’ve had a few side effects such as headaches and an irritated stomach. Overall I would recommend this to any body builder looking to maintain muscle and get cut.

I’m only using Atro-Phex when I’m not working out. I work 12-13 hour shifts, so I take it at work mostly so I’m not eating all the time.
I use NO EXPLODE before workouts. Should I be taking Atro Phex before a work out?
Editor’s comments: Definitely do NOT combine Atro-Phex with NO-Xplode, as its energy matrix contains a ton of caffeine and other stimulants. We’d recommend you continue using these two products exactly as you are! (click here for a full review of NO-Xplode on UltimateFatBurner.com).

Well…I trust BSN a lot too. I think No-explode and Syntha-6 are very good for my body, so I use them everyday.
But, especially about atro-phex, I’m not able to have belief in the product. Cause, after using this product, I feel tired so much, and have some trouble with my blood pressure.
Of course, I don’t wanna think that this product has some clinical defects, but in my case, this is not so good.

I am only on day one of my taking this product and my reasons for trying it are thus: I’ve been working out regularly for most of 1 1 1/2 years, I play soccer 2x week and yet I still have issues with belly fat and a lingering layer over what I perceive to be some pretty hard muscle. So, I’m giving atrophex a try.
I will be happy to re-post as the weeks go by and look forward to having some success with this. My teammate and friend just finished her packet and is pretty lean (but I know the differences in our body types are the reason and I don’t expect that for myself.) I would just like to lose the stubborn layer over my muscle. Maybe i’ll be surprised and if so, I’ll certainly rave about the product at that time.
I will be eating leaner and hopefully cleaner while taking this as well as making sure that I don’t let anything get in the way of the gym routine.
Day one is this so far (and I understand your body needs to acclimate to the amount of stimulants): I took my 1 a.m. pill and 30 min. later ate a yogurt (soy, i’m lactose intolerant) and 2 hours after that a banana and 2 hours later I was starving so I ate a Fibery bar which helped to satisfy the empty feeling I was having all morning. Then it was time for my p.m. pill which I took around noontime and felt a little squimish 15 min. later. so I asked my friend what she did and her husband said low cal., low fat mini meals 4-5 a day helps that. so I had a small snack of rice cakes (one serving of 10 small = 70 cal) I never look at calories… this is a first for me. I felt better. I had my lunch an hour later (sliced chicken breast & swiss on whole wheat w/mustard). and all day so far water. So, i’m done with the pills for today….and tomorrow I’ll do it all again. I’ll check back in like 2 weeks to let you know…..

I tested Atro-Phex vs Lipodrene for a 4 week cycle for each product maintaining the same calorie protein (1800/165g) intake daily and using the same workout for both tests.
Test start was with the Atro:
Caliper BF: 13.5%
5′ 10.3″ tall
168lbs
After 4 weeks i had dropped down to 11.3% bf and 162 pounds.
I wanted to follow up with 4 weeks of the Lipo to see if my fat continued down, stayed the same, or went up.
I felt the Lipo controlled my appetite much better then Atro Phex. Both give you some type of energy boost though. The Atro seemed more intense, but I was taking 8 pills a day vs 1 Lipo.
After 4 weeks on Lipo my BF was 10.1%… and I weighed 158 pounds.
I think it’s safe to say in my case, both worked well for me. I think overall, the Lipo was best because of the cost and the fact I only took 2 pills per day vs the 8 I was taking with the Atro-Phex.

I’m glad I found this site. I actually just purchased Atro-phex 2 days ago. I haven’t noticed any of the side affects I keep reading about. I drink tons of water so I’m not worried about headaches but I have read you must eat something around 30 minutes after taking the pill.
But since BSN makes N.O. Explode and that works so well for me, I thought I’d give this product a try also. I really appreciate how I do not crash after taking their products. I’m 5′10′ 205 lbs. with a goal to reach 185 lbs. The trend seems to be 2 pills 2x daily. I hope that combination works for me.
I take a pill in the morning and then again another pill around 5pm (after work or before the gym) and I always have 1.5 scoops of No Explode before lifting. Should I not mix these two together (Atro-Phex and N.O.Explode) before I start my work out?
Editor’s Comments: Personally, I would not. N.O.Xplode (reviewed in full here!) contains a TON of caffeine and other xanthines. Combining the two will provide you with a super high dose of stimulants, which is not necessarily a good thing.

I’m concerned because I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse after a few months of taking Atro-phex, and I wonder if there’s a link.
I noticed it gave me energy but also crazy heart palpitations when I’d work out. I remember when Fen-phen was found to cause heart valve damage, and I wonder if the fat-burning component of Atro-phex could do this by a similar process.
I want to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I am 18 years old, 5′7” and currently 152lbs I’m always playing a sport and have been going to the gym at least 4 times a week for the past month.
I have been taking Atro-phex for about a week and a half. I have lost 10lbs in this past month. I am not sure how much weight loss is from Atro-phex or how much is from just working out and eating correctly, but I definitely like what I see.
I take 4 pills in the morning before breakfast and 4 pills before dinner before I work out. I have no side effects besides having to use the bathroom a lot, but that is because I was consuming 120 oz of water or more a day.
Overall, I believe this is a great product. I feel that it is working very well for me. I recommend it to anyone. Just test it to make sure it works for you.
I will repost in about a month with my results providing a better opinion of the product.

I started taking Atro Phex a week ago. I read up before hand, so knew to drink plenty of water. I changed my diet as well (to a healthier one) and looked forward to losing weight. I weigh myself weekly.
However, after weighing myself after this first week on Atro Phex, I have GAINED 4 pounds! I was looking to losing at least a pound. Is it normal to gain weight in the first week? Or whats up?!! I have NEVER gained weight in the first week on a diet before.
I do enjoy the energy that it continues to give me, and I am able to work out longer and more which I enjoy! I am just baffled by the gaining of pounds in the first week!
Editor’s comments: It’s likely those 4 pounds are mostly water. If you’ve increased your water consumption, it may simply be that you’re more hydrated. Additionally, your weight can fluctuate a fair bit on its own; that’s even more true for women during certain periods of their monthy cycle. Try weighing yourself daily, and I’ll bet you’ll see more consistant measurements.

I got a free sample of Atro-Phex in my last can of Syntha-6. Although I have been using Syntha-6 and N.O.Xplode for years, I had a very bad experience with BSN’s previous fat-burner product Thermonex.
After just starting the product, I took a capsule one morning and noticed a very disturbing irregular heartbeat (arythmia); I was driving at the time and promptly stopped at a fire station that was close by to have it checked out by paramedics. They were very concerned after hooking me up to a cardiogram (I think) that showed my heartbeats and tried to get me to allow them to take me to the hospital in an ambulance. I declined and drove myself to the ER.
The doctors monitored me for awhile and as time went on, my heartbeats returned to normal. We all concluded there was something in the product that my body “did not like.” I am used to large amounts of caffeine, like N.O.Xplode and lots of coffee, so I don’t think it was that. I also regularly used the old ephedra products before they were banned with no such side effects. I suspect the culprit in this case was one of the new “exotics” BSN is putting into the product…the ones without human clinical studies.
I suspect Claire, who posted earlier that she had heart palpitations after taking Atro-Phex, probably aggravated a pre-existing condition. I say this because I had been diagnosed with a mild heart murmur myself and for some reason this product aggravated the condition. I don’t think Atro-Phex caused it.
Just be aware you may be one of the unlucky (?) ones that won’t tolerate the product well.

I have used many fat burners and weight management matrix pills over the last 3 years. Mostly since joining the military, the hectic lifestyle has caused my weight to fluctuate incredibly. I started taking Syntha-6 for post workout relief on my muscles as I’ve kicked it into gear seeing as I’ve worked very hard to lose all my gained fat, not my muscle. I was on a steady loss of body weight using Hydroxycut, but after it was banned I was without a supplement. I saw the recommendations for Atro-phex on the bottle of my favorite protein mix and decided to give it a try.
Like the bottle said, and my initial expectations, it was hard the first few days. My heart rate was higher than normal and I had to use the bathroom more frequently. I also felt nauseous, but coupled with that was a strange feeling of calm. I didn’t get angry or riled up. That was unusual considering other pills usually made me get upset. This is definitely the first pill to provide me with different results…
Into the third week of use, I have noticed a significant loss of weight. It was slow and steady for the first two. I have lost nearly a pound of body weight EVERY SINGLE DAY! I was hovering near 178 lbs, at 69″ height. I have no idea what my bodyfat % is at, as I have no caliper out here. As you can see this is a very good product. I am now down to 171 lbs. I hope to hit below 170 soon. Thank you BSN.

I have been taking atro-phex for a few weeks and I just “upped” my dose from one to two pills in the morning and afternoon and immediately have noticed irregular heartbeats after I take the afternoon dose. I went online to see if others have had the same problem. I have lost 3 pounds (with diet and exercise too), and really don’t want to stop taking the product. I, like the comment above, was diagnosed years ago with a heart murmur, so that probably has something to do with it.
It is unfortunate that this product seems to do that to a lot of people! It can be scary when something starts messing with your heart!

This product did absolutley nothing for me. I didn’t feel energized and I didn’t feel the need to eat less. I stopped taking this product and switched to Hydroxycut Hardcore which worked until it was recalled.

I’ll say one thing. Wow! This stuff is nuts! Gotta give it a try, but must be serious about a healthy diet, hydrating, and straight smoking your self in the gym.
BEFORE: I started off weighing 207 Lbs after getting fat over Christmas. My belly looked like a pack of cinnamon rolls.
AFTER: Dropped 17 Lbs in 2 weeks. Now I’m 190 and dropping.
TOLERANCE: Started off taking only 2 a day (1 in the morn, and 1 in the early afternoon). Jumped up to 4 a day after a week.
MY WORK OUT: I run every day, and no less than 3 miles at a 7 minute mile pace. Other than on the weekends I always run late at night close to bed time so I can just crash after working out. On the weekends, I try and see how far and fast I can go. The farthest I’ve gone during a single run was 8 miles in an hour. I burn over 1200 calories on those long runs. When I don’t do the long distance runs I substitute with 10,000 meter rowing sessions after the 3 milers. Always knock out a max set of crunches and pull ups. Make sure you got something in your stomach or your gunna feel like crap. If you don’t drink water stand the hell by.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Eat small meals every 3 to 4 hours (chicken breast 6 inchers from Subway are great). Healthy snacks will help hunger cravings (Harvest/Power Bars). If you don’t drink water your gunna start pissing rust if you don’t just pass out. Watch the caffeine and don’t take with NO-Xplode like I tryed once. My heart rate was about 200 beats a minute for over an hour just slothing on the couch (felt like I had just sprint over a mile). Take a good multi-vitamin. I take Ultra Mega Green twice a day by GNC (food based). I mix Accelerade with my water 50% of the time. Give it a try.
GREAT EFFECTS: Hyper as all hell (you’ll feel like you can jump start a dead battery). Lots of energy, drive, and focus. When your on this stuff and not working out you’ll feel like a fat chick craving a jelly doughnut.
ADVERSE EFFECTS: My armpits sweat like crazy and stomach aches if empty. Always hungry, but that’s to be expected with my stomach still shrinking and as much cardio I do.
Remember, everyones body is different and it’s easyer for some to stay in shape than others. It’s straight genetics. If you want to be healthy you’ve got to live healthy. Feed the machine and build that muscle memory. It’s all about tolerance. What’s your pain threshhold?

I’m training 2-3 times a week. In 2 of the trainings I’m doing a 5km run and afterward, a muscle workout.
That’s in most cases, I also for one workout ride a bicycle for 2-4 hours (burns 2000+ calories) and then do a muscle training. How should i take this product?
Editor’s comments: Yotam, please see the Atro-Phex review for a better idea of what you can expect with this product. Dosing is provided on the packaging; one capsule twice daily increasing to a maximum of 4 per day.
